Music

Music starts at 2:30pm and goes through until 12:30am

We book artists whose music we personally love, and which represent a varied and diverse range of styles.
Starting nice and easy with beautiful acoustic styles and ending on forward looking hefty bass music.

Family Event

Coro Summer Fest is a family friendly event. For most of the day the vibe is pretty chill, there are games to play, a creek to play in, you can bring your own picnic and find a sweet spot to sit and listen to music.

The music will get more ruckus and lively as the evening goes. From about 9pm we cant guarantee that it is entirely child friendly - it is a party after all - but if you are O.K with your kids being there, then we are too.

Location

23 Colville Road - Coromandel Town.

Beautiful private venue nestled amongst the native bush at the northern end of Coromandel Town.

How to get there:
> 3 kms north of Coro Town, just past the one lane bridge, you'll see the flags and signs.

Event Times

Gates open at 2:45pm. Music will begin at 3pm, and will run until 12:30am.

If you are camping, you can arrive to set up at 1:00pm.

After the event is finished, we wish for the camp site to be quiet by 1:30am. This is so everyone has a good sleep end enjoys the experience!

Camping

We have a limited number of on site camping tickets available, this is an additional $5, which goes directly to maintaining the site and gardens.

Because of the limited space, you can help by bringing a compact setup, or sharing a tent with your friends.

*** Camp Passes have now sold out ***
Check out the accomodation options below and use our free taxi service.

Camping conditions:

Camping ticket is per person. Everyone staying on site overnight – except children – must have a camping pass.  this can be purchased alongside your ticket.

No buses! If you have a bus or large camper van then please book into one of the local camp grounds for the night (more info below on this)  We just don’t have enough space unfortunately. Standard size vans are O.K.
See below for other accomodation options.

Please carpool if you are coming with a group, there is limited parking on site for too many cars. We’d rather have more people and tents than cars.

After the event finishes we expect the camp area to be nice and quiet by 1:30am. This gives everyone a chance to get a decent nights sleep, it helps to keep the event a welcoming space for families.

> Arrive from 12pm on Saturday for camping setup
> Campers must leave by 1pm on Sunday 16 January
> bring what you need to breakfast on Sunday

This will pick pick you up from anywhere in Coromandel Town and immediate surrounds (Oamaru Bay to the north, Manaia to the south) Call Coromandel Taxis on 027 376 4466 to arrange pickup.

PARKING.
Parking this year will be on Pound Street in Coromandel Town, with a free shuttle to and from the event site. We have very limited parking on site and our usual off site park is not available. Luckily we have this great alternative.
We ask that everybody parks here, and catches the free shuttle service to the site which will be running continually throughout the event. Shuttles will run about every 20 minutes back and forth.

Food and Water

There will be food available to purchase on the day of the event, from 2:30pm - 12:00pm
we also invite you to bring your own picnic.

We will not have food available on Sunday morning however, so if you are camping you'll need to bring your own breakfast supplies.
( Coro Town also has some great cafes! )

The site has a number of water taps, connected to the town supply so it's safe to drink.

Coro Summer Fest is a 'Low Alcohol Event' - it is not prohibited, and we do not sell alcohol, so you can bring a reasonable amount to drink, but please keep it in check and be aware of your behaviour.

Rubbish and Recycling

We have a vision for a Zero Waste event. Here's what you can do to help towards that vision:
> Reduce the amount of single use plastics brought in.
> Bring your food and drinks in re-useable containers.
> If you are bringing Alcohol then bring aluminium cans - they are the easiest to recycle.
> Use our recycling bins.
> We will happily take your foodscraps left over from your picnic for our compost bin. Any other rubbish, you can take that home with you 😉
