Below is the 2018 lineup - 2019 artists will be announced in October!
SOLA ROSA soundsystem
Sola Rosa is one of Kiwi music’s most evolutionary and enduring acts. With seven full-length albums, four EPs, a handful of hits, countless collaborations and numerous world tours, it’s been a near 20-year labour of love for the man behind the music, Andrew Spraggon. And although it’s punctuated with twists and turns in the form of constant change and innovation, one thing has remained the same – Spraggon’s steadfast commitment to making great albums that seamlessly blend a myriad of genres, from hip-hop and jazz, to neo-soul, latin and funk.

AceTones are returning! AceTones is an 8-piece ensemble boasting a top-rankin' horn lineup and rocksteady rhythm section, topped off with the dynamite vocal stylings of the Mighty Jabsco. From 60's ska and rocksteady to reggae, dub and funk, the band infuses the irresistible grooves of Jamaican music with their own distinctive style. They create an atmosphere to lure even the most unsuspecting listener onto the dancefloor. Paying tribute to the greats, the band draws inspiration from founders of the styles such as Skatalites, The Upsetters, Jackie Mittoo, Sly and Robbie and more. Boom!

Oakley Grenell
For twelve years, Grenell’s been steadily releasing projects under his own Central Records and heading up bands that include The Otautahi Allstars, Departure Lounge, The Eskimo Squad and his former production moniker OG. This will be Oakley's third Coro Summer Fest, and to be honest he is so diverse in his talents - from blues, through country, hip hop and heavy bass music - we don't yet know what he'll bring this time! whatever it is it'll be a treat. oakleygrenell.com

Cricket Farm

Cricket farm are multidisciplinary artist Hayley Robertson (vocal/ukulele/clarinet), Simon Ross (vocal/acoustic guitar) and Joel Vinsen (vocal/acoustic and electric guitars) They tell the hard truth in a soft voice; music for hopeless romantic conspiracy theorists.
Delightful, beautiful and dynamic thought provoking music.

The Bollands

Always on the road, this duo have been foot-stomping their way through the world. From Taiwanese pizza rooftops, through the dirty streets of India to international music festivals, The Bollands are on a mission to play everywhere for everyone.

They play hearty folk songs about the twists and turns of life. Their aim in life is to get everyone stomping and singing.

Bernie Griffen and the Thin Men
Bernie Griffen’s own distinctive brand of scorching Southern Gothic crosses the border of folk into country blues. His songs are melodic, soulful tales of a life well and truly lived on the fringes, songs which play like anthems and tap into a vein of testimony. Bernie commands an audience with his big presence and originality that spans generations. He’s got a guitar style all his own, although you can hear the influences of Neil Young and Hank Williams. Joining him are Bernie’s musical partner Kirsten Warner on guitar and vocals, with guest Thin Men Tony Daunt on bass and Chris Kemp on drums (Tony Daunt and the Dauntless, Swampland) While Bernie’s sometimes compared to Johnny Cash, Kirsten’s voice singing solo or in close harmony has vulnerability and distinctiveness that is more Iris Dement or Nanci Griffith than June Carter. .

Dj Alley Kat
From swing to reggae, dub, jazz, hip hop, big bass, funk, electro, dance & punk, AlleyKat loves to mix up the genres. Making mix tapes since the 80’s, AlleyKat brings an eclectic vibe to the late night dance floor. One of the key organisers and Producer of Sundaise Music Festival and running his own solar powered sound system, AlleyKat is looking forward to hanging with his fave tunes and peeps at Coro Summer Festival.

Sonic Delusion
Too funky for folk and too folky for funk - that's Sonic Delusion's Latin-infused, pop-laced "funky electroacoustic folk". Sonic Delusion’s frontman Andre Manella uses his well-worn loop pedal to spontaneously create layers of rhythm, tone and vocals. The Swiss-Kiwi electro-folk raconteur “easily carves out his own unapologetically ambitious and intriguingly experimental sound”. “Catchy loops invite plenty of dancing and hip swaying… a sensual delight to the ears”..

Si Res aka Simon Koziarski is a well established guitarist/producer and DJ based in Auckland. He cut his teeth doing alongside festival founder Matt rapid more than 15 years ago, and since then his production work for NZ acts including Home Brew, @Peace & King Kapisi, alongside his own projects Harbour City Electric and The Side Steps Quintet have lent a hand to shape the NZ music scene over the past few years.
